Which New Boca Raton Restaurants Are Actually Open?

Walk past the directory board near Nordstrom at Town Center at Boca Raton this week and you'll see the same placard that's been posted for months: Felice, coming soon, no date attached. A few storefronts over, Limani Grille carries the identical language. Both signs have been technically true since early summer. Neither restaurant has served a single meal.

Opening dates can lag behind restaurant announcements, so it helps to distinguish a planned restaurant from one that's already serving guests. The Town Center directory lists both restaurants as coming soon, with no dates attached.

A wait of more than two years behind one word

Limani Grille is the clearest case. The Mediterranean seafood concept, part of a family of restaurants with flagship locations in Roslyn and at Rockefeller Plaza in New York, was originally slated to open at Town Center in spring 2024. Construction delays pushed that back, and back again. As of this summer, the restaurant is only now confirmed for a fall 2026 opening, more than two years after its first target date.

Limani's general manager, Yianni Theodore, has framed the eventual opening as a homecoming of sorts, saying he's proud to welcome the Boca Raton community to the table given his own Greek heritage. That's a warm line, and it will land better once there's an actual table to sit at. Until then, "coming soon" at Town Center has proven to mean anywhere from a few months to a few years, and there's no way to tell which you're getting just by reading the sign.

Felice, the Tuscan concept from SA Hospitality Group, the same company behind Sant Ambroeus and Casa Lever, is sitting under that identical uncommitted phrasing right now. The restaurant already operates more than a dozen locations across New York, Connecticut, and Florida, so this isn't a startup finding its footing. It's an established operator that hasn't announced a Boca date either. Treat the fall timeline as a reasonable guess, not a calendar entry.

New dining options at Town Center

Felice and Limani would add a different kind of dinner option to Town Center's dining mix. Town Center has long carried familiar dining like The Capital Grille and True Food Kitchen alongside its retail. Together, the restaurants would offer diners another reason to visit the mall for dinner, rather than only before or after shopping.

The opening dates remain tentative. What it means for residents is less about circling a date on the calendar and more about watching for the actual signal that a restaurant has gone from planned to staffed: a hiring post, a soft-open weekend, a line at the door. Local coverage usually catches these developments within days.

East Palmetto Park Road already has an answer

A few miles south, Il Migliore is set to bring a modern Italian menu of housemade pastas and refined antipasti to East Palmetto Park Road. The street already has established Italian dining options. Trattoria Romana has been serving veal chops and homemade gnocchi at 499 East Palmetto Park Road since 1993. Il Mulino New York operates a full location at 451 East Palmetto Park, a few doors down.

Il Migliore isn't introducing a cuisine to the corridor. It's asking diners who already have two established options within walking distance to add a third. That's a different pitch than Limani's at Town Center, where the restaurant fills a category gap. On Palmetto Park, the newcomer has to earn a seat at a table that's already set.

The one that already opened while you were waiting

While Town Center's fall openings are still planned, Kosher Chobee is already welcoming diners. Chef Aviad Ballaish opened the Boca Raton location at 21077 Powerline Road earlier this year, the brand's second after its original West Palm Beach restaurant. The space seats roughly 40 guests indoors and another 40 outside, and it opened in partnership with Eitan, who owns the neighboring Lux Bagels and holds the lease on the building.

In a report by Business Debut, Ballaish described the collaboration simply:

"We looked at the space and said we need to do something here for the community."

The menu runs from hand-carved pastrami to Korean short ribs braised over sweet yam and cauliflower puree, ORB-certified glatt kosher throughout. Ballaish also owns CEK Caterers, a South Florida kosher catering operation, so the Boca location was built from day one to handle both a sit-down crowd and steady takeout and catering volume.

It brings a dining option in a category Boca has genuinely been short on, while Felice and Limani remain planned openings at Town Center.

Planned openings and a restaurant already open

If you're deciding where to actually eat this month, here's the difference that matters:

  • Planned openings: Felice (Town Center, no confirmed date), Limani Grille (Town Center, delayed from spring 2024 to fall 2026), Il Migliore (East Palmetto Park Road, no confirmed date), Maman's three planned Palm Beach County cafés in west Boca, central Boca, and Sundy Village in Delray Beach, all still listed as expected rather than open.
  • Already open: Kosher Chobee at 21077 Powerline Road, open since earlier this year with a full indoor and outdoor dining room.

Maman is worth a separate note because the brand's own history in this market cuts both ways. The French café group, known for a Martha Stewart collaboration menu that includes items like the Milk Chocolate Crème Brûlée Sugar Bun, has more than 50 locations nationally and has moved quickly elsewhere in South Florida. Its Central Boca location at the Shops at Boca Center carries an expected fall 2026 date, according to reporting on the lease. That's a firmer signal than a mall directory placard, but it's still a projection rather than an open door.

What this means for dinner tonight

None of this is an argument against looking forward to Felice's wine program or Limani's charcoal-grilled lavraki. It's an argument for separating anticipation from planning. If out-of-town guests are landing in October and you want a sure thing, book something that's already open. If you're the type who wants to walk in on week one of a new place, watch for the actual opening announcement rather than relying on a coming soon sign for an opening date.

Boca's food scene changes fast enough that staying current is its own kind of local knowledge, the same instinct that matters when you're reading anything else about this market, from a new restaurant's timeline to what a listing price actually reflects. If questions about the Boca Raton market come up down the road, whether it's this neighborhood or the rest of the coastal corridor from Lighthouse Point to Delray Beach, Stefanie Bauer is a straightforward person to ask.
